  • EID!

Our 'Spirit of Ramadan' campaign has provided all of us at LBi a better understanding of Ramadan, as well as of Amy and Humza. The campaign brought to light how much we are all able to share when we shake off the daily clutter and really see the abundance of good will we all have to offer.

As a result of the campaign, AED 5,000 has been raised through the help and kind hearts of the public.

We had a lot of fun along the way. The 15-strong LBi team volunteered with Adopt-A-Camp and helped by supporting the packing and distribution evening that was held on August 18th 2011. It was amazing to see the whole community pulling together.

Wanting to really 'walk the talk' of our campaign, we asked ourselves what else we could do to live the 'Spirit of Ramadan'...check out the contributions of time, money, and effort we collected:

  • Amy - AED 3084: contributed through her 'no anger, no swearing challenge' (lots of penalties!), Zakat, women's clothing, and a day's time to assist the Beit Al Khair society with making a difference in someone's life.
  • Humza - AED 1000: contributed through Zakat, clothing, as well as a day's time to assist Beit Al Khair society.
  • Diego - AED 1000: contributed by providing clothing for men
  • Ayesha - AED 500: contributed by donating clothing for children
  • Chenine - AED 100: contributed by cooking dinner for her building's cleaners
  • Iyad - AED 250: contributed through cash donation

We're proud of our team and hugely grateful to everyone who supported us in this amazing campaign. We wish it weren't ending!

Eid Mubarak... LBi Cares!

Humza is a Creative Director at LBi. He is on a mission of educating his boss - Amy on everything about Ramadan. If he can prove to her that the information he is sharing is actually really useful, Amy will approve every "share" with a dirham for charity. AWESOME - we know. Now we need your help in spreading the word!

Amy is the Managing Director at LBi. She moved to the region a year ago and is keen to gain a deeper understanding of Ramadan and support the members of her team who are practicing Muslims. She has been dared by Humza to take a series of challenges to educate herself and prove her determination.
